Mr. Coen concentrates his areas of practice in probate, estate and trust administration, and estate planning. Mr. Coen served in the army after graduating from the University of Detroit Mercy's School of Law in 1970. After law school, Mr. Coen worked as a supervising attorney at Wayne County Neighborhood Legal Services. From there, Mr. Coen was in private practice for three years and then joined the Oakland County Probate Court, as Chief Deputy Register and Attorney, for eight and-a-half years. In 1984, Mr. Coen joined Sommers Schwartz. Mr. Coen has been married to a wonderful woman for near 35 years and has one daughter and a dog. In his spare time, Mr. Coen enjoys swimming, water aerobics, yoga and drawing and painting.
