Mr. Coen concentrates his areas of practice in probate, estate and trust administration, and estate planning.  Mr. Coen served in the army prior to graduating from the University of Detroit Mercy's School of Law in 1970.  After law school, Mr. Coen worked as a supervising attorney at Wayne County Neighborhood Legal Services.  From there, Mr. Coen owned a private practice for three years and then joined the Oakland County Probate Court, as Chief Deputy Register and Attorney, for eight and-a-half years.  In 1984, Mr. Coen joined Sommers Schwartz.  Mr. Coen has been married to a wonderful woman for 32 years and has one daughter and a dog.  In his spare time, Mr. Coen enjoys swimming, water aerobics, and weight and strength training.
