Sommers Schwartz, P.C. is pleased to announce attorneys Dina M. Zalewski and Rod M. Johnston have been elected to shareholder status. Both were previously associates with the firm.

Dina is a member of the Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury Litigation Groups and devotes her practice to representing individuals and families harmed or killed by others’ negligence or willful misconduct. Dina earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wayne State University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she earned various academic awards. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Macomb County Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association, the Michigan Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice. Dina has appeared on the list of Michigan Super Lawyers Rising Stars since 2020 and among the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 under 40 Lawyers in Michigan since 2019.

Rod Johnston is a member of the Commercial Litigation Group, participating in the firm’s individual and class action litigation on behalf of people wrongfully denied compensation due to wage and overtime violations or harmed as a result of consumer fraud. Before attending Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude, Rod earned a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Wayne State University. He he also played on the WSU’s varsity baseball team.
