  • $2.265 Million Settlement for Construction Site Accident
Sommers Schwartz attorneys negotiated a $2.265 million personal injury settlement for a 28-year old man who was seriously injured when he fell approximately 12 feet onto concrete when a defective wooden barricade gave way. The defendants designated some of the door wall openings as the locations to bring materials into and out of the building by the various contractors. The door walls that were used for entrance and egress were common work areas in that all the trades had to use them as part of their job responsibilities. All the experts agreed that the guard rail was deficient at the time of the accident. The plaintiff suffered severe injuries to his feet and ankles that required multiple surgeries. The construction site accident left him permanently disabled.
