Sommers Schwartz attorneys Jason Thompson and Lance Young obtained a $1,630,000 class action settlement on behalf of a more than 3,000 individuals and companies who received a faxed advertisement from the defendants. None of the class members consented to receive the transmitted ads, which they alleged was a violation of the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The case was litigated in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
