On September 5, 2013, attorneys from Sommers Schwartz initiated a lawsuit seeking recovery of thousands of dollars of unpaid wages from Michigan trucking company Steel Transportation Services.  The action was filed in Wayne County Circuit Court.

The complaint alleges the company was supposed to pay its drivers 25% of the gross revenues for each load, but STS secretly deducted a fuel charge equal to between 9% and 37% of each delivery invoice, significantly reducing the amount each driver received.

Cases of unpaid wages and overtime pay are on the rise – if you have information relevant to the lawsuit against STS or work for an employer that you suspect may be withholding compensation from you or your coworkers, please contact us today to learn how we will help you protect and pursue your rights.
