Sommers Schwartz is closely following developments with the global COVID-19 pandemic, and we are continuing to take measures to protect the health and safety of our personnel and their families.

COVID 19

As with you, the situation is forcing us to change the ways we do business, but our commitment to providing outstanding client service remains unchanged.

Rest assured that none of our operations have been interrupted, and we have assembled a response team focused on maintaining a healthy workplace and business continuity. At the team’s direction, the firm has:

  • Implemented protocols and equipped lawyers and staff to work remotely with full access to firm files and resources while still ensuring privacy and data safeguards.
  • When reasonable, restricted communication with clients to email, telephone, and videoconferencing instead of in-person meetings.
  • Canceled non-essential business travel for our personnel.
  • Instructed our personnel to periodically monitor updates from the Centers for Disease Controlthe federal government, and state agencies in Michigan and California, and not come to our offices if they do not feel well or experience any symptoms.

Despite this unprecedented pandemic and the actions and reactions it demands, we will continue to be responsive, minimize disruptions, and accommodate clients’ and colleagues’ protocols.

If Sommers Schwartz is currently handling a matter for you, please contact your attorney and his or her legal assistant as you have already been doing. If you are not yet a client and require legal assistance, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Please stay safe, and we will update you if circumstances change.
