The foundation of Brittany’s effectiveness in her role is a product of both her natural empathy and the experience and insights she gained at Lakeshore Legal Aid. As a legal assistant while in law school and a staff attorney thereafter, Brittany worked closely with clients from underserved communities on a range of landlord-tenant matters and other cases. With patience and demonstrable concern for the challenges they faced, Brittany evaluated their circumstances and cases for eligibility and advocated for the individuals she served and represented with clarity and compassion.

A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Brittany obtained a Master of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati before earning her law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
