Every case at Sommers Schwartz is supported by talented team members who give their all to clients. This month, we’re proud to feature Michelle White in our Employee Spotlight. With years of legal experience across many practice areas, Michelle brings dedication, compassion, and steady guidance to the litigation process from start to finish.

What are your responsibilities in your current role at Sommers Schwartz?

My current responsibilities include ordering records, organizing case files, calendaring deadlines, scheduling depositions, handling calls with clients, court staff, experts, and others, conducting research, drafting pleadings and discovery documents, filing documents in court, and assisting with trial preparation.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy every part of the litigation process, from starting the case to settlement.

Did you work anywhere before joining Sommers Schwartz? If so, how has that experience helped you here?

Previously, I worked at law firms handling asbestos litigation, bankruptcy, maritime law, aviation law, corporate law, probate law, and medical malpractice. I believe my experience at these firms has helped me grow and develop my skills, which prepared me for my current role with Sommers Schwartz.

What is your proudest accomplishment at Sommers Schwartz?

My proudest accomplishments are when my team and I can secure an exceptional or fair settlement for our clients.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

I really enjoy spending time with my grandson, family, and friends, going to church, bible study, reading, cooking, exercising, volunteering, sewing, playing pickleball, boating, shopping, traveling, playing cards, listening to music, attending concerts and plays.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

You won’t be able to please everyone, so don’t try. Live in peace. Take care of yourself. Stay in your lane. Worry less and pray more.
