Sommers Schwartz Becomes a “House Divided” For Orchards Children’s Services
Like much of the state, the perennial University of Michigan vs. Michigan State University football game pits family, colleagues, and friends against one another each year. While Sommers Schwartz is not immune to the fierce rivalry, we’ve found a way to show our respective colors to support a local charity.
Hosted by our Sommers Schwartz Serves Committee, the firm held its 5th Annual Tailgate, Food Drive, and Cornhole Tournament on October 20, 2025, to benefit Orchards Children’s Services. We’ve been long-time fans of this worthy organization, and we donated the food and money raised from the event to support the Orchards Thanksgiving food drive and Holiday Season of Giving.
The Wolverines ultimately triumphed on the gridiron, and so did the firm’s raving UM Fans team who contributed the most food items. Adriana Meshatt and Jay Steinman each had the winning mix of aces, back doors, and air mails to share the cornhole crown.
But we all agree the real winner was Orchards!
