One of the greatest joys of being at Sommers Schwartz is working with people like Shea Brouster. Her warmth, dedication, and genuine care for our clients and colleagues are clear in everything she does. She not only provides essential support to our attorneys but also offers comfort and reassurance to the clients she serves. Outside the office, her passion for giving back to the community makes us proud to have her on the Sommers Schwartz team.

What are your responsibilities in your current role at Sommers Schwartz?

I am a combined legal secretary and paralegal, handling files from the investigative stage through to the conclusion of litigation. I also take intake calls from potential clients.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Interacting with clients and seeing how happy they are at the conclusion of their litigation, as well as preparing documents to give the attorney more time to focus on complex matters. I also love that Sommers Schwartz serves the community, and it is a pleasure to join them in various efforts, such as packaging chemo kits, volunteering at Gleaners, and donating to Orchards Children’s Services families, just to name a few.

Did you work anywhere before joining Sommers Schwartz? If so, how has that experience helped you here?

Yes, I was previously employed at McKeen & Associates and Stern & Associates. My experience at these law firms allows me to take the lead on various aspects of files, which helps attorneys save time preparing depositions, hearings, and trials.

What is your proudest accomplishment at Sommers Schwartz?

My proudest achievement at Sommers Schwartz was helping several clients with document preparation and guiding them through the conclusion of estate matters for minors and decedents.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

I love going to the movies, attending plays and concerts, and traveling. I also enjoy volunteering at my church and working in ministry wherever I am needed.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Focus on making good choices, graduate college at a young age, avoid feeding into negativity that may come your way, and keep the faith.
