Reverend Ronald Vincent Gronowski was born on March 9, 1942, and ordained by the Diocese of Saginaw on June 7, 1969.

As a pastor, his primary assignments included the following Michigan parishes:

  • Associate pastor, St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish, Bay City (1969-1971).
  • Associate pastor, St. Mary Parish, Alpena (1971).
  • Pastor, St. Stephen Church, Marquette Diocese (unknown to 2002).
  • Pastor, St. Theresa Church, Marquette Diocese (unknown to 2002).

Father Gronowski was also an original member of the Gaylord Diocese in 1971.

In May 2002, the diocese reviewed his personnel file and found evidence of sexual misconduct against a teenager dating back to the 1970s. Despite allegations raised in 1995, the diocese delayed reprimanding Father Gronowski until 2002. He publicly apologized for his behavior and was permanently removed from ministry.

In November 2018, the Gaylord Diocese identified Father Gronowski on a list of clergy members credibly accused of sexual misconduct with a minor. In April 2019, the Saginaw Diocese followed suit, censuring him with the same charges.

Today, Father Gronowski continues to live and reside in Northern Michigan.
