Father Eduard Perrone served in the Detroit Archdiocese for 25 years. In 2019, he was suspended from pastoral services after an individual accused him of sexual abuse decades earlier when the victim was a teenager.

According to the allegations, Father Perrone invited a group of minor boys to his lake house, where he wrestled and groped them. In the initial report, the victim also claimed Father Perrone sodomized him. The incident was referred to the Vatican for investigation, but the Vatican chose not to pursue the matter.

Father Perrone maintained his innocence and has since been reinstated with limited restrictions.
