Sommers Schwartz Wins Big for a Great Cause at the 16th Annual Bench Bar Culinary Challenge
On June 24, 2025, Sommers Schwartz’s Paulina Kennedy, Kate Milz, and Elizabeth Tyler joined members of the legal community for an evening of food, fun, and fundraising at the 16th Annual Bench Bar Culinary Challenge, also known as “Grilling for Good.”
Held at retired Judge Lisa Gliecher’s home in Pleasant Ridge, the event featured a friendly cook-off between teams of judges and attorneys. Guests voted for their favorite dishes by purchasing tickets, with proceeds supporting two important causes: Alternatives For Girls and the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation’s scholarship fund.
Paulina, Kate, and Elizabeth were members of the Grilled By the Hour attorney team, which secured this year’s overall victory over the judges’ team, Grilled From the Bench. Although the judges’ vegan stuffed pepper dish won the award for best individual dish, the attorney team’s overall performance claimed the top spot.
Sommers Schwartz Serves is proud to support events like the Bench Bar Culinary Challenge, which brings the legal community together for a good cause, and is even prouder of our team’s big win!
