Sommers Schwartz shareholder Benjamin J. Wilensky has been appointed as Designated Legal Counsel for the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen (BRS), a respected union representing non-management employees in the railroad signal and communications industry. This appointment was officially announced on November 6, 2024, in a letter from Michael S. Baldwin, president of BRS, highlighting Ben’s extensive experience in labor law and dedication to defending the rights of railroad workers.

Founded in 1901, the BRS has a long-standing commitment to advocating for fair wages, safe working conditions, and the protection of workers’ rights. Ben’s labor and employment law experience will be vital in helping BRS members navigate these complexities and uphold their legal rights.
