$3.8 Million Settlement: Medical Malpractice: Delayed Breast Cancer Diagnosis

$3.8 Million

Settlement
|

Sommers Schwartz attorneys Mickey McCullough and Matthew Turner negotiated a $3.8 million medical malpractice settlement related to a doctor’s negligent delay in diagnosing a patient’s breast cancer.

Plaintiff’s cancer should have been diagnosed when it was localized and curable.  Instead, the cancer was left untreated and allowed to progress to metastatic disease. The plaintiff will require treatment for the rest of her life and will likely suffer premature death.

The Sommers Schwartz medical malpractice team secured a $3.8 million medical malpractice settlement, which will help ensure the plaintiff has the resources she needs for her ongoing and future care.
