Michigan Lawyers Weekly Names Dina Zalewski to the 2023 Class of “Go To Lawyers” in Negligence Law
We are delighted to share that Sommers Schwartz shareholder Dina Zalewski has been named to Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s 2023 list of “Go To Lawyers in Negligence Law.”
A member of the firm’s Medical Malpractice Litigation and Personal Injury Litigation groups, Dina is a zealous and dedicated advocate for people and families harmed by others’ carelessness and misconduct. From a young age, she knew she would be a lawyer, and because of the harm that a healthcare provider’s medical negligence caused her own family, standing up for injured people became her calling.
Dina has helped clients recover millions of dollars in damages for their physical pain and suffering, emotional distress, lost wages and livelihoods, and the wrongful death of a loved one.
Michigan Lawyers Weekly defines a “Go To Lawyer” as:
- An expert in their field, well-versed in the nuances of the case law, statutes, and regulations clients will encounter.
- Experienced and enjoys a record of success, with many cases that give testimony to the quality advice they can provide.
- One to whom other lawyers make referrals because of their expertise and accomplishments.
- A creative thinker who identifies all options for a client.
This is not Dina’s first accolade. Earlier this year, Michigan Lawyers Weekly recognized her among 2023’s Up & Coming Lawyers, and she has appeared on the list of Super Lawyers Rising Stars since 2020, and among the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 Lawyers in Michigan since 2019. In 2022, Hour Detroit Magazine honored Dina as one of its Top Women Attorneys in Michigan. She is an active member of the Michigan Association for Justice, American Association for Justice, Macomb County Bar Association, and Oakland County Bar Association.
Outside the office, Dina serves on the Board of Directors for Kids on the Go, a non-profit program designed to provide children with special needs with physical, occupational, speech, and recreational therapies over the summer months and during the school year.
We congratulate Dina on this impressive accomplishment!
