Alana A. Karbal Elected to Shareholder at Sommers Schwartz
Sommers Schwartz, P.C. is delighted to announce attorney Alana A. Karbal has been named a shareholder. She was previously an associate at the firm.
Alana is a member of the Unpaid Wages & Overtime Group, fighting for people wrongfully denied compensation by their employers. Her successful representation has helped secure millions of dollars in back pay and damages for clients across the U.S. Respected by peers in and outside the firm, Alana has appeared on the list of Michigan Super Lawyers Rising Stars and among the Best Lawyers Ones to Watch since 2024.
Also known for her leadership efforts within the firm, Alana co-chairs the Sommers Schwartz Servescommittee, stewarding our philanthropic efforts and rallying attorneys and professional staff to volunteer their time with community organizations in Metro Detroit.
Alana earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School, where she held editor positions on the Wayne Law Review.
